Gerald Jones, 79, passed away June 3, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Graveside service will be 2pm Friday at Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church Hazlehurst. He loved to travel and country music. He was an Air Force veteran. Mr. Jones enjoyed carpenter work and did an outstanding job. His work can be seen throughout Hazlehurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Lena Beasley Jones; and brother, Carroll Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jones of Hazlehurst; sister, Norma Jones Porter (Jerry) of Wesson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
