Miss Julia Ambs, 67, of 421 W. Jefferson St., died at 12:55 a.m. yesterday at St. John's Hosptial where she had been a patient one week and after an illness of two years.

Miss Ambs, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ambs, was a resident of the city her entire life and formerly was employed by the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Agnes Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by two brothers, John, Springfield, and Leo Ambs, Omaha, Neb., and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Jennings, Springfield, and Mrs. Estella Seitz, Chicago.

REmains were taken to the Kirlin & Egan Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday at St. Agnes Church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
