Zada was born in 1929. She was the daughter of Capt. Bill Albury and Norma Hammer.

Zada grew up in Miami, Fl in the 40s and 50s. A wondrous time in Miami's history. Her father ran sightseeing boats out of the City Yacht basin and Zada had many adventures aboard his many boats. She graduated Miami High, class of 1945. She attended Stetson and U of Miami. She married Leonard (Richard) Hunter in Dec 1948.

She and Richard moved to Melbourne Fl abt 1949. They had three children. Richard bought a dry cleaners and ran it until his son Clay took it over. Zada Hunter, wrote a book called (The Hammer story : ancestors and descendants of Anton Hammer. Published: Indialantic, Fla. (225 Melbourne Ave., Indialantic 32903) : Z. Hunter, [1990?] Publisher: Z. Hunter, Description: 233 p. : ill., maps ; 28 cm. Notes:Includes index.) This book is available at U of F and many other libraries. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne, the Beachside Writers Group, South Brevard Genealogical Society and the leader of the Afternoon Book Discussion Group of the Melbourne Library. She was a published author of two historical novels, as well as an active volunteer at her church.

She and Richard traveled extensively including Europe. She was the family Historian and Documentarian. She passed away in 2006.
