Born in Byron, he was the son of the late Roy T. Cape and Marjorie Hanie Cape. Roy was a member of the East Crisp basketball team that won the state championship during the 1955-56 season. He was also a member of theAll-Pro Baseball Team. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and was the owner of Cape Trailers. Roy was a member of Penia Baptist Church and loved fishing.

A private graveside service for the immediate family only will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 30 in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.
The family will have a drive-thru visitation beginning at 1 PM Saturday at the residence of Marjarie Nell Rowe, 6266 Highway 41 North, Vienna. Please enter the property at the north driveway and exit the property at the south driveway. To comply with social distancing guidelines, please remain in your vehicle to speak to the family.
