Amos Parks Sr., son of Frank Parks and Rosetta Parks (nee Davis) was a hod carrier by occupation. At the time of his death, he was married to Clara B. Parks (nee Dixon). His first born was Amos, Jr. The next, a daughter was named Clara for her mother. All three of their sons served during World War II.
