Born in Dekalb County, Tennessee.Children: Willie M., James, Michel Alice, John H., Rosa, Ambrose Jr., infant, and Fanny Lee Allen. He was the sixth child of Hezekiah & Jane (Glover) Allen. His wife's name was Frances M. Golden. They were married probably in 1874 either in Arkansas. Son's William M. was born in 1877 & James was born in 1879. Upon the death of Frances, Ambrose married Martha Ann Carney. The daughter of Henry B. Gibbs.
