Cheryl Lynn Blenz, 63, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at her home.

Cheryl was born on February 7, 1956 in Chincoteague, Virginia, the daughter of Gale Clifford and Marilea (Schmidt) Faulkner. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1974. After high school, she married the love of her life, Frank Blenz on August 12, 1979. The couple were married for 40 years and had two sons, Richard and Curtis. Cheryl enjoyed sewing and made many costumes for Arkalalah parade over the years. After her husband retired from farming, the couple enjoyed summers spent in Colorado camping and fishing. Cheryl also loved to go to the casino. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her family includes: her husband, Frank of the home; her sons, Richard Blenz of Fayetteville, GA and Curtis Blenz(Annabel) of Omaha, NE; her brother, David Faulkner of Nickerson, KS; her two grandsons, Hunter and Weston and several nieces, Whitney Reid, Jamie Muesenfechter and Michele Faulkner. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve Faulkner.

Cremation will take place and her family will hold services at a later date. Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City is in charge of the arrangements.
