MAUDIE RAMSEY

Maudie W. Ramsey, 88, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Wichita Falls. She was born July 7, 1918, into a large family of 15 children and was raised in Hill County. She was known for being the prankster in her family. She was a loving wife for over 49 years and a terrific mother. She was a sweet lady who will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Glen Ramsey of Covington; parents, Will and Jennie Alverson; and nine brothers and sisters. Surviving family members include: one daughter, Connie Ramsey of Wichita Falls; four sisters, Nell Gibson, Mary Catherine Daniel and Dorothy Curry, all of Itasca and Wanda Marshall of Waxahachie; one brother, Jimmie Alverson of Millbrook, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel in Itasca with Rev. Diane Barnes officiating. Burial was at Itasca Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
