Marie T. "Reedy" (Higgins) Marr, 88, of Lester Ave., Pawcatuck, passed away at Apple Rehab Watch Hill on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was the wife of the late Ralph "Mike" Marr.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late C. Leo and Marie R. Higgins.
Marie worked at the family owned Higgins Pharmacy for many years and was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her five children, Daniel E. Marr, of Pawcatuck, David W. Marr, of Norwich, John S. Marr, of Clovis, Calif., Ann Marie Bryant, of Hartsville, S.C. and Susan M. Bessette, also of Pawcatuck; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Marie's family would like to thank Apple Rehab Watch Hill for their outstanding care and support.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, April 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 Main St., Stonington. There is no procession to the church from the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Michael Capital Campaign, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 in Marie's memory.
