Mary Alice Buford of Sedgewickville, Missouri, daughter of the late Amey Alice Tinker Bounds and James Isaac Bounds was born in Bunker, Missouri, on October 3, 1935. She departed this life at her residence on May 15, 2020, at the age of 84.



On August 9, 1969 in Farmington, Missouri, Mary was united in marriage to Thomas Jefferson Buford. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1991. Mary worked as a cook at Centerville School for 20 years. She attended Centerville First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included digging roots, loved spending time outdoors, deer, squirrel and turkey hunting and going to the river. Mary loved cooking and most all spending time with her family and friends.



Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one step-son, Garrett Buford, two infant brothers, and one sister, Verna Turner.



Mary is survived by three daughters, Cindy Neal of Sedgewickville, Missouri, Madonna West and husband Scott of Sedgewickville, Missouri, and Michelle Northern and husband Robbin of Marble Hill, Missouri, five grandchildren, Melissa, Hunter, Piper, Austin and Amanda.



Visitation: Tuesday, May 19th at Noon Funeral Service follows at 2 PM
