This was confirmed in a contemporary newspaper announcement of the marriage, in which is also states that both parties were living in Willistown, Chester County, PA.
The 16 July 1870 US Census shows a George W. Cass, a stonemason, living in Willistown Township with his wife, Amanda, and their son, Nelson, age 8/12, his having been born the previous October.
