DEATH OF MRS. CHAS. JENKINS
Passed Away at Her Home on Sinclair Street This Morning -- Funeral Saturday Afternoon
After an illness of three weeks duration, Mrs. Mary Jenkins, wife of Charles Jenkins, died at the family home on Sinclair street, at 1:00 this morning, aged 39 years, 1 month and 6 days. Three weeks ago she was taken with the grip and uraemic poisoning developed, which was the immediate cause of death.
The maiden name of the deceased was Mary German, a daughter of Silas German, and was born and grew to womanhood on the farm in Groton township. Ten years ago last November, she married Mr. Jenkins, and their entire married life was passed in Bellevue. She leaves a husband, two children George and Helen, by a former marriage and one son, Leonard, by the second marriage. She is also survived by her aged father, two brothers, Scott and Bert German, of Groton township, and two sisters, Mrs A.J. Clemens, of Lorain, and Mrs Addie Walden, of Kenosha, Wis.
Mrs. Jenkins was a christian woman and a faithful member of the Congregational church. She was a dutiful and loving mother, whose untimely death occasions universal regret and deepest sorrow.
The funeral will take place from the house Saturday afternoon at ? o'clock and from the Congregational church at 1:30. Services will be conducted by Rev. H.C. Colburn and the interment will take place at Bellevue cemetery.
