ROCHESTER — Services for Ella E. Wallace, 82, Rochester, will be held at noon Saturday in Good Family Funeral Home.

She died at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, in Woodlawn Hospital.

Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the children's section of the Fulton County Public Library.

Ella E. WALLACE, 82, of 1218 Elm St., where she has lived since 1947, died at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born in St. Joseph, Mich., the daughter of Ivin and Katherine Garland Barkman, she lived most of her life in Rochester after moving from Massachusetts, where she stayed during World War II.

A homemaker, she had been employed at Hart Schaffner & Marx Corp., Rochester, and Rochester Metal Products. She was a member of Union of Needle Trades Industrial and Textile Employees and Presser No.165, United Clothing Workers. She was a past president and treasurer of Harts Retiree Club. She enjoyed crocheting and just about everything she did. Paramount in her life was the time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Upp and husband Dave, and Kathie Adams and husband Kevin, all of Rochester; one son, Charles Wallace and wife Anna, Frankfort; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Connie Wallace, San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clifton "Butch" Wallace, on Sept. 5, 2005; three sisters, Sevilla, Wava and Myrtie; and one brother, Elton.

Her funeral service will be at noon Saturday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. through the hour of the service Saturday. Memorials may be made to the children's section of the Fulton County Public Library. Electronic expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at [email protected]
