Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Mills Chapel for Herman Landwehr, aged 82, who died April 24th at the home of his son in Astoria. Mr. Landwehr was born in Germany January 22, 1849, coming to this country at the age of four years. He was a resident of Cottage Grove about 15 years, coming here 20 years ago. He had been residing the past few years in Astoria. Rev. Duncan P. Cameron officiated the service. Interment was at Shields Cemetery.

Preceded in death by his wife, Johanna (Hobbie) Landwehr in 1898 and his daughter Edith Ethel Landwehr in 1924.

Mr. Landwehr is survived by three sons, Warren Richard of Salt Lake City, Utah; Paul Herman of Westlake, Oregon; Robert George of Astoria, Oregon; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Harms of Bethel, Kansas.
