From census data it appears the family came to Illinois about 1863.
Survived by his wife, Ann; three daughters: Mrs. John F. (Agnes) Hamilton of Clinton, Miss Mary McManus, and Miss Margaret McManus; and two sons: James and Thomas McManus.
Services at the Church of Immaculate Conception.
Burial in Calvary.
