Obituary of Elsie Mary Bell, THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, week of July 30, 1983, Maxwell, Iowa; "Elsie Mary Bell, 84, of Des Moines, a former Maxwell resident, died Saturday, July 30, 1983 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 3 at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell. Rev. Nancy Johston will officiate. Burial will be at the Peoria Cemetery. Bell was born on Nov. 16, 1898 to Clayton and Mary Whitney in Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, who died in 1972. She is survived by one son, Robert Bell, Sr., of Brandon, Fla.; two daughters, Marjorie Jackson of Largo, Fla., and Betty Jean Golsvanski of Des Moines; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, five foster grandchildren and eight foster great grandchildren. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 2 at the Cooper Funeral Home."
