Angelina “Dolly” Iacobelli
Loving Mother Two Children, Two Grand Children and Four Great Grand Children
Angelina Iacobelli, best known as Dolly passed over to the Lord on Saturday April 25, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born in Orange, N.J. to her parents Michael and Angelina (nee Lanzisera) Neglio. Dolly resided in her youth in West Orange and lived her married life in Bloomfield, and Verona, NJ. She passed away at Cranes Mill, West Caldwell, NJ after a brief illness.
Dolly was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Dominick in 2017. She leaves behind her daughter Diane Unnasch, husband Richard, granddaughter, Elaina Tucker, her husband Dave, grandson David Unnasch, wife Ria and cherished great grandchildren Amanda, Alexander, Aaron and Aiden. Dolly is also survived by her son Ralph Iacobelli, wife Grace and her sister Diane Pugliese. She has numerous nieces and nephews from a total of nine siblings, 8 of which she joins in heaven.
In her early adulthood Dolly work in the Edison factory in West Orange. Upon marriage she became a full-time homemaker. Her persistent and ever present love was her trademark even through numerous illnesses. Her love of the rosary, and attendance to church services was the backbone of her strength. She thrived in a vigorous game of Chinese Checkers, card games as well as listening her husband Dominick play one of the many instruments he was skilled in. She had a great memory, quick wit and was known for letting others know her thoughts on a subject.
Private services were held at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave. Cedar Grove, N.J. and entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookcedargrove.com.
The family requests that charitable donations be made to Saint Peter Claver Church c/o Healing Ministry, 56 Elmwood Ave., Montclair, N.J. 07042 in remembrance of Dolly.
