Adolf Bachmeier of Niles, born October 13, 1937 in Romania and grew up in Germany, in his youth he was a professional soccer player playing for the Chicago Mustangs, the Chicago Kickers and the U.S. National Team and he is in the American Soccer Hall of Fame; during his working career he was a tool and die maker; he passed away at home on July 21, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margarete nee Kniegl; dear father of Christine (Danny) Vlaovic and Hans (Andrea Pasqualucci) Bachmeier; proud grandfather of Joseph and Gianna; fond brother of Emmanuel (Erica), Jacob (Betty), Florian (Ingrid) the late Otto (Elfriede) and Felix (Lisa) Bachmeier; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, 60016; interment private.
