The Rev. Charles F. Jones passed away December 9, 2017. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bishop Sullivan Center.
Fr. Charles, was born April 26, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. He attended and obtained an AB degree from the University of Missouri. He then went on to Immaculate Conception Seminary College and was ordained on May 26, 1963. He was a priest for numerous parishes in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph before he retired.
Fr. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. Jones, Sr. and Marcella Jones-Thomas as well as a sister, Mary Lou Bassing.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Glynn, dear friend, Tonya Huey, and his nieces and nephews.
