Kathy Bowling Meadows, age 67, of Rogersville, TN passed away Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 surrounded by her family at her daughter's home.
Kathy was born March 30, 1953 in Pine Knot, KY. Kathy was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Edith Coffee Bowling, and her late stepmother Nevada Bowling.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Attie Fair Campbell, and Debbie Ellenberger; and brothers, Donald Ray Bowling, Orville Lee Bowling, and Roscoe Bowling Jr.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Eidson (Philip); brother, Billy Joe Bowling, Winfield, TN; sister, Jewell Bowling, Stearns, KY; grandchildren, Brady and Eli Eidson; and her "person", "whiz" and "not so ex-husband", John Meadows. She is also survived by so many special family members and friends too numerous to name. She loved all of you so very much.
After Kathy and John moved from Pine Knot, KY to Dahlonega, GA, they resided there for many years until the birth of their first grandchild. This brought both to Rogersville, TN to be near their grandchildren. Kathy resided in Rogersville for 11 years until her death. She was Baptist in faith. What a glorious day to meet her Savior on Easter afternoon.
Due to the social distancing restrictions in place by the state and local authorities, there will be no funeral for Kathy; however, a celebration of life will soon be announced for all her precious family and friends to attend.
Kathy loved and had such compassion for animals. She often donated to the local humane society. In lieu of flowers (which she loved as well), I believe she would be overjoyed for any who wish to make a monetary or supply donation to your local animal shelter.
