OBITUARY
Ernest W. "Ernie" Beaudin, 75, formerly of Racine, passed away Sunday, June 30, 1996, at the Clement Zablocki V.A. Medical Center in Wood.
Mr. Beaudin was born in Colburn on February 13, 1921, son of the late William and Nellie (Guthrie) Beaudin and was a resident of Racine for 43 years, retiring in Osseo in 1987. On June 21, 1952, in Janesville, he was united in marriage to Barbara E. Zahn, who preceded him in death in January of 1992.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Beaudin was employed for over 30 years at Jacobsen Manufacturing, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Jacobsen's "25 Year Club," VFW Post 8514 of Osseo, and was a former member of VFW Post 1391 of Racine. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his seven sons and daughters-in-law, Keith (Denise) Beaudin of Racine, Randy (Carol) Beaudin of Fond du Lac, Mark (Patti) Beaudin of Union Grove, Cheynne Beaudin of Portage, Glen (Lola) Beaudin of Virginia, Milton (Yvette) Beaudin of Georgia, Gene (Linda) Beaudin of Georgia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Don) Waldman of Kenosha, Yvonda (Mark) Hirsch of Jackson, and Liz (Art) Scahill of Georgia; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Elwood (Evelyn) Beaudin of Janesville, Glen (Lorraine) Beaudin of Cadott, and Bernard (Lucille) Smith of Janesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordy and Mary Ann Zahn of Wausaukee, Donna and Frank Fabiano of Kenosha, Sandra and Grant McClure of Racine, Marilyn Beaudin of Janesville, Marion Beaudin of Eau Claire, Henrietta Smith of Chippewa Falls, and Eunice Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Harold and Sol Beaudin and Robert and Gaylord Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Schroeder officiating. Interment will be held at Thompson Valley Cemetery in Osseo.
