W. H. Curtis died at his residence on Upper Hominy, this county, this morning, from catarrh and erysipelas.
Mr. Curtis was a prominent citizen of Buncombe, and a good man. He was about fifty-eight years of age, and leaves a wife and five children. He was a member of the M. E. Church, south.
In the last campaign Mr. Curtis was a candidate before th county convention for the nomination for a term in the legislature, but was defeated.
The funeral services over the remains will occur tomorrow at 11 o'clock a.m., after which the interment will occur in the family burial ground near Turnpike.
Mr. Curtis had many friends in this city as well as in every section of this city as well as in every section of the county, and his death will be regretted by all.
