David “Dave” Rieber, 79, passed away on April 13, 2020. He was born on April 15, 1940 to Julius and Louise Rieber in Evansville, Indiana.

Dave was well known for his sarcasm and his dry, witty sense of humor. He also had a very competitive spirit. Dave loved to play golf and cards. His favorite card game to play was clabber. Dave was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was also a Veteran. Dave became a Lutheran later in life.

Dave is survived by his wife of 29 years Shirley Rieber; his children Kim Shockley, Susan Klodowski, Julie (Stephen) Henning, Diane Rieber, Jacob (Candice) Hughes, Mitchell (Dalynn) Rieber, and Mason (Heather) Rieber; his grandchildren Justin (Heather), Kaylee, Christopher, Clifton, Kelsey, Josh (Taylor), Amanda (Robert), Brenden, and Gracie; his great-grandchildren Beckah, Bobby, Charlie, Addison, Myles, and Jace; his sisters Judy (Nick) Wolf, Paulette Harralson, and Donna (Jerry) Greenwood; his brother-in-law David Hillenbrand; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Carly.

Dave was preceded in death by his son David Rieber; his parents; and his siblings Betty Hillenbrand and John Rieber.
