Rose Herzog Dies At Logan, Utah
Ralph Herzog and Mrs Ronald Dabel of Afton were called to Logan last Friday because of the death of their mother, Mrs Rose Teuscher Herzog, 80, who died Friday at about 3 p.m. of dropsy. Mrs Teuscher, invalid, had been using crutches for 25 years, as a result of a car wreck.
Born in Switzerland June 22, 1874, she came to the United States when but 8 years old, and settled on a ranch at Geneva, Idaho where she resided for about 40 years before moving to Logan where she lived the rest of her life. She was a convert to the LDS Church, and served in the Geneva Ward Relief Society presidency for 25 years and in the Primary presidency of that ward for 15 years.
Her husband Ephraim Herzog, died in 1947. They were married Nov 17, 1892, and reared a family of 12 children, 8 of whom are living. They are: Leo Herzog and Henry Herzog, Logan; Joseph of
Tooele, Utah; Milford of Kemmerer; Acel of Geneva; Logan of Ely Neada; Ralph, and Mrs Ronald Dabel (Pearl) of Afton. She is also survived by two brothers, 50 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. Two sons and two daughters preceded her in death; the latest, Wesley, died 10 months to the day before his mother.
