Lola Bills Schouten was born on June 25, 1918, to Bertie M. Bills and Victoria Crane Bills. She was raised in Riverton, Utah. She married Richard Schouten. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1974.
Lola was known for her kind and loving ways. She was a compassionate, caring person who loved life and enjoyed every minute she spent with her children and grandchildren.
For the past three years she lived at Atria Retirement Center in St. George. She loved the people who lived there, the staff, van rides and bingo. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived in the Midvale 3rd Ward for 25 years, serving in the Relief Society Compassionate Services for many years.
She is survived by her two daughters: Pat (Bill) Kingsbury of West Jordan; Kathy (Paul) Harker of St. George; eight grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister: Elmo (Beth) Bills, Milton (Gayle) Bills, Leon (Thelma) Bills, Fern (Lowell) Cardwell, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24 at 12:00 noon at the Midvale 3rd Ward, 7825 S. 220 W. (Olympus Street), Midvale, Utah. Viewing will be Friday, April 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Saturday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
