A funeral for former McMinnville resident Faye C. Bryant of Durkee was held today in Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, Baker City. Interment was in Malheur Cemetery, Bridgeport.
Mrs. Bryant died Dec. 27, 2001, in her home. She was 75.
She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Rigby, Idaho, the daughter of Clyde and Katherine Mitchell. She was raised and educated in Kilgore, Idaho, where she graduated from high school.
She lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho, until the late 1960s, when she moved to Oregon. She had lived in various places in Oregon, including Grand Ronde and Albany.
She and Robert E. "Bob" Bryant were married Nov. 14, 1997, in Newport.
She lived in McMinnville from 1997 to October 2001, then moved to Durkee. She worked most of her life as a security guard in the timber industry and also had worked in vegetable production, accounting, gardening and housekeeping. She loved animals and also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
Survivors include four sons, Doug Page of Salem, Don Page of Tillamook, David Page of Kauai, Hawaii, and Denny Page of Kennewick, Wash.; a daughter, Beth Ann Page of Baker City; a stepdaughter, Wendy Flippo; a brother, Gary Mitchell of Grand Ronde; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bryant, in September 2001; three children, Michael, Cathy and Brenda; and a sister, Arla.
