Iva H. Boggess was born on January 24, 1926 in Cylinder, Iowa to Lloyd and Hazel (Carr) McClelland. She passed away in Estherville, Iowa on April 7, 2020 at the age of 94 years.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID- 19 pandemic, the family will delay a public memorial service to a later date.

Iva graduated from Rodman High School in 1943.

On September 28, 1945, she was united in marriage to Woodrow Wilson Boggess in Auburn, Indiana. After their marriage, the couple moved to Estherville.

Iva was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville, a lifetime member of the V.F.W and was active in the PTA. She loved crafting, reading and puzzles.

Iva is survived by her daughters, Mary (David) Corwin, Melbourne, Iowa, Kay (Brian) Besaw, Estherville, Iowa, Sue (Tom) Koons, Estherville, Iowa, and Kathy (Jerry) Thompson, Estherville, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Roxie Stevens, Estherville, Iowa.

Iva is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Boggess, two daughters, Jean and Linda and her parents, Lloyd and Hazel (Carr) McClelland, a granddaughter, Amy, and siblings, Geneva Nelson, Irene Foster, Bob McClelland and Mona Sanders.
