Bob Calley, 88, of Big Spring, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 in a local hospital.

Private funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at The Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Derrick Looney, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Bob was born March 6, 1932 in Cross Cut, Texas to Clara Ethel Clark and Charles Franklin Calley.

He married Arita Everts December 15, 1950 in Forsan, Texas. She preceded him in death September 23, 2017.

He moved to the Otis Chalk Community with his family and graduated from Forsan High School in 1950.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.

Bob had worked as a pumper in Howard County for many years.

He was a member of Forsan Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Bob is survived by one son, Kevin Calley and wife, Carolyn of Big Spring and a daughter, Karon Fryar and husband, Terry of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, Robbi Calley, Michael Calley and wife, Terri, Cody Fryar and Renae Fryar, all of Big Spring, Kandice Green and husband Michael of Dayton, OH and Terrah Fryar and Scott Fryar both of Big Spring; 12 great grandchildren, Brooklynn Calley, Paige Calley, Abigail Calley, Dagan Fryar, Cameren Fryar, Tori Fryar, Payton Vickers, Riley Vickers, Caleb Vickers, CJ Vickers, Gavin Vickers, and Cheyenne Rawls; and two sisters, Betty Gassiott and Ruth Stokes.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Calley and Leon Calley; and one sister, Wyone Jameson.

Pallbearers will be Cody Fryar, Scott Fryar, Michael Calley and Robbi Calley.
