Arita M. Calley, 85, of Big Spring, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with David Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at the funeral home.

She was born April 13, 1932 in Dunn, Texas, and married Bob Calley December 15, 1950 in Forsan, Texas.

Arita lived in Howard County most of her life and had been a member of Cedar Ridge Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Calley; one son, Kevin Calley and wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Karon Fryar and husband, Terry all of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, Robbi Calley, Michael Calley and wife, Terri, Cody Fryar all of Big Spring, Renae Vickers and husband, Cody of Iowa Park, Texas, Kandice Green and husband, Michael of Summerset, South Carolina, Terrah Fryar and Scott Fryar of Big Spring; eleven great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Calley, Paige Calley, Dagan Fryar all of Big Spring, Cameron Fryar and Tori Fryar of Amelia, Ohio, Payton Vicker, Riley Vickers, Caleb Vickers, C J Vickers and Gavin Vickers all of Iowa Park, and Cheyenne Rawls; one sister, Wanda Ford and husband, Weldon of Tuscola; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Effie Pearl Crabtree Everts; three brothers, J. W. Everts, Johnny Everts and Edward Everts; and one sister, Faye Cumbie.

The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of Midland, 4400 N. Big Spring St., Suite C32, Midland, Texas 79705.
