RICHARD COY
Richard Coy was born in Switzerland Co., in 1829 and died on July 13, 1905, at the place where he was born on Hominy Ridge. He was married to Malinda Rayl in 1852 and two sons and one daughter were born to them. Only one son, Allan, is now living and his whereabouts are unknown. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Signor Scott of Hominy Ridge and James and Matthew Coy, of Brown Co. Mr. Coy's wife died many years ago and was buried at the old home place on Bethel Ridge. By his own request he was buried in the Quercus Grove Cemetery, by the side of his boy. Services were conducted by Rev. Settle, of Vevay. He was a member of the U. B. church. He was a christian man and a good husband and father.
