Bernice C. Johndreau, 5501 Gordon Dr., died Friday at her residence following a long illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Steven Dornbusch officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 4-9 p.m. today with the family present from 7-9 p.m., at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Debra Bengtson-Brue officiating. Mrs. Johndreau, the former Bernice Salsness, was born Feb. 14, 1908, in Sioux City. She married Donald Johndreau Nov. 24, 1940, in Omaha, Neb. She was a lifelong Sioux City resident, and worked as a clerk in the Woodbury County Recorders Office for 12 years before retiring in 1972. She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church, of Isis Chapter 173 O. E. S., the White Shrine Drill Team, and was a Bridge Club member for 20 years. Survivors include her husband; a son Jerry Christensen and a daughter, Jeanne Farrin both of Sioux City; two brothers, Art and Ralph Salsness both of Sioux City; four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Molskow and Mrs. Mable Croot both of Sioux City, Mrs. Ruth Sparks and Mrs. Rayma Allhouse, both of Omaha; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
