96, of Nanty Glo, passed away Sept. 25, 2017 at home. Born April 14, 1921 in Canoe Creek, daughter of late Samuel Harrison and Lorma (Sechrist) Mundorff. Preceded in death by husband, Henry; daughter, Betty Mishler; granddaughter, Sara Collins; four brothers and six sisters. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children, James (Ruth) Dyson; Gilbert (Kay) Dyson; Mary (John) Bortnyik; Dorothy Collins; Caroline DiGiaimo; Debra Boring; and Thomas (Deborah) Dyson. 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor Randy Eckman, officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations in Viola's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
