Nancy Cudworth Atkinson, 88 of Norfolk, died Thursday, Dec. 28, at a Norfolk Hospital. Born in Wanchese, she was the daughter of the late Mccallister and Lucetta Daniels Montague. She was the wife of Willard Thomas Atkinson of the home. Mrs. Atkinson was a homemaker. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Edith "Ede" Daniels of Wanchese; two sons, Charles Etheridge and Rex Etheridge, also of Wanchese; two sisters, Bright Evans of Manteo and Rae Davis of Wanchese; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Dec. 31 at Bethany United Methodist Church. Burial will take place in the Cudworth cemetery in Wanchese. Twiford's Colony Chapel in Manteo is in charge of arrangements.
