Frederick was the son of Samuel W. Moulthrop and Emily Mason. Frederick was one of 12 children. He was a twin to brother Frank. Frederick was 1 month and 1 day old when he died. The cause of death was listed as cholera infantism by Dr. R. S. Goodwin. [NOTE the records in Litchfield show Litchfield for birth and death but the family lived in Northfield, Town of Litchfield]
