Lillie Washington

Lillie Branson Washington, 90, of Colonial Lodge died at McCuistion Regional Medical Center at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, April 5.

Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, at the Masonic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant with Deacon Warner B. Washington officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Washington was born Nov. 30, 1901, in London, Ky., a daughter of John Garrett Branson and Sara Kay Deese Branson. She attended schools in Mount Pleasant and received her bachelors and masters degrees from East Texas State University. She taught school in this area for 40 years.

Surviving are a stepson, Deacon Warner B. Washington of Kerrville and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Clarksville.
