Chester O. Appleby, 67, of 109 Howell Street, Campbellsville, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1981, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home. He was a native of Russell County. Appleby was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife Lois Clover Appleby of Campbellsville; four sons, Allen and Henry Appleby both of Campbellsville, Arnold Appleby of Route 1, Elkhorn, and Franklin Appleby of Columbia; and four daughters, Wanda Wilson of Liberty, Phyllis Hicks of Route 1, Elkhorn, and Anna and Imogene Appleby both of Campbellsville. One sister survives, Emma Marple of Campbellsville, along with seven grandchildren. One son, James Appleby, preceded his father in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Blevins officiating assisted by the Rev. Donald Cox. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Thomas Rose, William Bowlin, Danny Johnson, Mitchell Buck, George A.
