Mr. Adams came to the Spur area over 30 years ago and has lived here until about three years ago when, with his family, he moved to New Mexico, where he was living at the time of his death. He had been associated with the Pitchfork ranch for a number of years, and had many friends among the old time cowboys and ranchers in Dickens and adjoining counties.
He was converted when 19 and joined the Baptist church. The son of Mr. and Mrs. B.V. Adams, he was born at Blum, TX where he lived for some time before coming to Dickens county at the age of 19. He was married to Miss Lona Slaton at Crosbyton Aug. 19, 1940.
