She was born in Newport, Tennessee on November 21, 1944, a daughter of William Green Jones and Minnie Turner Jones and had been a resident of Newport for most of her life before moving to Thomasville fourteen years ago. She was a former employee of Shelby Johnson Trucking and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
On August 17, 2000, she was married to Larry Edward Hunt, who survives of the home. also surviving are a son Michael Joseph Ramsey and wife Sonjia of Johnson City, TN; a granddaughter Summer Ramsey of Johnson City; four sisters Zottie Hartsell of Gallatin, TN; Roxie Gilland of Maryville, TN; Lee Ester Crumbley of Newport; and Cletus Frye of Archdale; two brothers David Jones of Gaffney, SC and Earl Jones of Newport.
She was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Green and by brothers Roy Jones, Curtis Jones, Floyd Jones, Nesbitt Jones, and William Junior Jones.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Jonathan Collins officiating.
