Roxie A. Gilland, age 83, of Newport, went to be with the lord Sunday, June 29, 2014. She was a member of the Newport Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Green and Minnie Jones, son and daughter; Chester and Theresa Holt, brothers; Curtis Jones, Floyd Jones, Roy Jones, Nesbitt Jones, Junior Jones, sisters; Polly Green, Zottie Hartsel, Janet Hunt.
She is survived by her son; Dennis and wife Janie Gilland, daughter; Glenda and husband Kevin Newton, grandchildren; Melanie Daniel, Kevin Gilland, Jason Newton, Jennifer Greer, Corey Holt, great grandchildren; Auston Newton, Katelyn Daniel, Alyssa Newton, brothers; David Jones, Earl Jones, sisters; Cletus Fry, Lee Ester Crumbly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday July 3, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Cutshaw officiating. Burial will be held in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 am until 2:00 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
