Funeral services were held here Wednesday morning for Mrs. Anna Welsch, 85, a resident of this city for many years, who died Monday morning in the old peoples' home at Juneau, where she had resided since last May. She had been in failing health for several years.

The body was in state at the Koepsell Funeral Home, and the Rev. John Rausch conducted the last rites Wednesday morning in St. Mary's church. Interment took place in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Welsch, nee Anna Bachhuber, was born in Mayville on Mar. 4, 1869, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emeron Bachhuber, pioneer settlers of the community. On May 5, 1891 she was married in Milwaukee to Anton Welsch and they resided in Hartford until 1903, when they came to Mayville. Mr. Welsch was interested in the produce company, operated a livery barn, and later was associated with Bachhuber Bros. garage. He preceded his wife in death on Jan. 17, 1923.

She is survived by two brothers, Joe and Martin Bachhuber, this city, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Rohlinger, Milwaukee. There were 11 in the family, seven having died in recent years.

The pallbearers were Arnold Bachhuber, R. N. Bachhuber, Louis Ribbens, Herbert Clark, of Mayville; Martin L. Bachhuber and Louis Blankenheim, both of Milwaukee.
