Ernie Petrash, Age 76, of Columbus, Mississippi went to be with his heavenly father Thursday, February 27, 2020. He was born August 23, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Edward and Mary Petrash. Ernie is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Scarlett Thoener.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Petrash; daughter, Tamera Petrash Thoener (David); son, Todd Petrash (Maggie); granddaughter, Jaden Petrash; granddaughter, Briley Petrash; grandson, Jake Bandock; brothers, Larry, Jerry and Ken Petrash; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ernie was very proud to be a retired Air Force Pilot and Hot Air Balloon Pilot. He also enjoyed fishing and Bird Hunting.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8th and from 12 – 1 p.m. Monday, March 9th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Brother Mike Shelton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Carillon Estates of Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with full military honors.
