Roxie Lynch Holbert, 78, of Elizabeth was called home to our Lord and Savior Friday, February 28, 2020. She was born October 4, 1941 in Palestine, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil and Irene Norman Lynch.

Roxie lived her life loving her family deeply. She was a lifelong member and leader of New Home United Methodist Church, spent many years as a leader for the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and was a member and President of the Elizabeth Homemakers. She loved quilting, cross-stitching, crafting, and playing cards with friends. Faith and family were everything to Roxie.

She is survived by her children David (Carla) Holbert of Mineral Wells, Steve (Bernadette) Holbert, Brian (Mellissa) Holbert and Vicki (Ron) Knicely all of Elizabeth; grandchildren Tabitha (Brad) DeBruyn of Big Chimney, Kris (Amanda) Holbert of Virginia, Mike (Angie) Robinson of Cambridge, OH, Sami Knicely, Colt Holbert, Brianna Holbert, Dustyn Holbert, HeavenLeigh Holbert, Zaccari, Zayn, and Levi all of Elizabeth; great grandchildren Finley DeBruyn, Charlie Holbert, and Dom Robinson. She is also survived by brothers Marvin (MaryLou) Lynch, Martin Gay Lynch and Jim (Mary) Lynch; sisters Mary (Carl) Barnette, Sylvia (Bill) Parchman, Vicki (Jim) Carez, Janet (Roger) Ellyson and Nancy (John) Karantonis. Honorary daughter Tracy (Randy) Murphy of Elizabeth was a bright light in Roxie's life.

In addition to her parents, Roxie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Charles Rodney Holbert; sisters Patty (Ken) Bennett and Hazel (Paul) Spencer; and brothers-in-law, Mike Parsons and Wayne Holbert.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg with Pastor Carlos Nutter officiating. Burial will follow in Mayberry Cemetery at Palestine, WV. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
