William Carl Miller, 87, 2600 W Jefferson St., died at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital & Health Center. Born March 30, 1913, he was the son of Roy I. and Elnora Johnson Miller. On Dec 18, 1964, he married Thelma Marie Brown McMannis, who survives.
He was a meat cutter for the former Standard Packing Co. for 20 years. He moved to Florida in 1984 and returned to Kokomo in 1999.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Bonne Carsten, Marilyn Simpson, both of Wabash; two step-daughters, Marlene K Johnson, Kokomo, Sharon S Brown, Carmel; a step-son, Jerry Gatlin, Anchorage, Ala.; a brother, Earl Miller, Florida; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
No service or calling is planned. A private burial of the cremains will be in Crown Point Cemetery. The Rev Harold E Williams will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. is in charge of the arrangements.
