Mary Jeannette Smith Lewis passed away on February 24, 2020 in Midvale.

She was born March 14, 1927 in Granite to Orson and Laura Smith. She married Leonard Richard Lewis on April 8, 1946. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mary worked at ZCMI for a little over twenty-five years. As a family, we took many trips together and she was always included in their vacations. She loved and had a vast interest in plants. She could name almost every variety of flower you could think of. Her other interests included crocheting, embroidery, and canning garden vegetables from their big garden.

Mary is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Diane and Janiel (Brian); son, Alan (Cindy); daughter-in-law, Sheryl; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, Leonard to whom she was married for seventy-four years; son, Ronald R. Lewis; and son-in-law, Kevin Anderson.

Viewings will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive (1815 East), Millcreek, and Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 9:00-9:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the same location beginning at 10:00 a.m.
