She was born June 8, 1889, in Altoona, the daughter of Warren and Lilly (Laird) Stoke, and April 12, 1911, in Altoona, married Charles H. Gathers, who died April 23, 1971. Surviving are two children, H. Warren of Springfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Madolyn (Mady) Ropp of Altoona; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She resided with her granddaughter, Mrs. Shirley Mountain. Mrs. Gathers was a member of the First Church of Christ.
