Mrs. Chas. Lentz Called By Death

Dies at Minneapolis After Operation For Cancer Performed Three Weeks Ago

FUNERAL SERVICE YESTERDAY

Is Mourned By Husband, Two Sons And Daughters[sic], And Many Friends in Redwood Falls.

Mrs. Chas. Lentz died at the Eitel hospital last Saturday at five o'clock in the morning. Death was caused by cancer and followed an operation performed three weeks before. The body was brought to Redwood Falls for interment, funeral services being held at the home yesterday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. N. de M. Darrell, Mrs. Lentz' pastor, read the funeral service and the choir from the Methodist church sang the hymns.

Mrs. Lentz was formerly Miss Tena Gertrude Willford, and was born at Kellogg, Minn., June 4, 1870. In 1891 she was married to Mr. Lentz, and settled in Brookings, S. D., where they lived until coming to Redwood Falls nine years ago. Beside her husband, Mrs. Lentz is survived by two sons, Carl and Anthony, and one daughter, Miss Grace.

Mrs. Lentz was a woman of beautiful character, an excellent mother and home maker, and the best of friends to the many people who loved her for her gentleness and patience. During her lifetime she was an ardent worker in the Methodist church and in all projects of charity and kindness. Even after failing health handicapped her activities in many ways, she continued her good works and will be woefully missed in the church and social circles as in the home.

Mr. Lentz was in Montana with his sons at the time of his wife's death, but reached Minneapolis Saturday. The three children were also present at their mother's funeral. Those from out of town who attended the service were Mrs. Geo. Etting and daughter Ruth, of Brookings, S. D., Glen Willie of Elkton, S. D., Mrs.Geo. Haber of St. Paul, and T. A. Lentz of Minneapolis.
