Former Redwood Resident Passes Away After Short Illness; Funeral Services Held Monday

Charles W. H. Lentz, for many years a business man of Redwood Falls, died at the hospital at Miles City, Mont., January 29, at three o'clock. The body was brought to Redwood Falls for burial, funeral service being held at the Methodist Church Monday morning, Rev. William Jobusch reading the service. Interment was made in the Redwood Falls cemetery beside the body of Mrs. Lentz, who passed away last fall.

Mr. Lentz, who was fifty years of age, was ill only about two weeks prior to his death, the illness which originated in a severe attack of lagrippe[sic], terminatinng[sic] in an acute form of rheumatism which reached the heart.

Mr. Lentz is survived by his three children, Grace, Karl and Tony, all of whom have grown up in Redwood Falls, and several brothers and a sister.

Until last summer Mr. Lentz had been connected for many years with the firm of Francois and Schmahl, where he had been an efficient and painstaking salesman. Last autumn he went to Baker, Mont., where he engaged with his brother in the mercantile business. His son, Tony, was engaged in the same business. .[sic] The other son, Karl, is in the employ of H. G. Schmahl here, and Miss Grace has made her home for the past few months with her aunt, Mrs. Geo. Haber, in St. Paul. The entire community feels the greatest sympathy for these young people who hove[sic] so recently been bereft of both parents.
