Phyllis (Brown) Roberts was born on January 4, 1946 in Liberty Mounds, OK to Clarence Brown and Gertrue Myrtle (Raby) Brown. She passed from this life on February 9, 2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 74 years, 1 month & 5 days.

Phyllis attended Liberty Schools from kindergarten through her graduation with the Class of 1964. It was in school where she met Malcolm who would become her husband of 55 years. During this time, Malcolm helped Phyllis' dad on the farm. They became a pair one day when Phyllis drove into the fields to bring him iced tea and delicious fried chicken. They began dating in 1962 and married on March 20, 1965 in Sapulpa, OK. They moved a lot in their earlier years before Phyllis finally made the decision in 1986 that they needed to move back home. Family was always the most important thing to her. She loved to play cards and taught her children along with several nieces & nephews and her grandchildren how to play pounce, spades, pinochle, hand & foot, canasta, pitch and golf. Playing cards at Phyllis' & Malcolm's home was a regular occurrence throughout her life as well as Sunday dinners where she would show off her great cooking and famous fried chicken. Phyllis also made the best apple pie in the world and her son often requested her apple pie in lieu of the traditional birthday cake. She always loved 50's & 60's music and was especially fond of Elvis. She and Malcolm enjoyed having their place at Okmulgee Lake to entertain their grandchildren and relaxing in the outdoors. She also loved to sew and quilt and had made quilts for virtually everyone in the family. Phyllis said when her time came, she wanted all of her family and friends to get together, share some good memories and play cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; Jean Mulliner, 1 brother; Wayne Brown and a great-nephew; Christopher Peacock. She was survived by three children, three siblings, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
