Tirzah was born on the 23 June 1873 in Yamhill Co., Oregon, the eighth child of Thomas Prigmore Stephens (1830-1910) and Anna Elizabeth Thornton (1842-1925).
On the 24 October 1893, Tirzah married Otto W. Agee (1868-1904), the son of John Agee (1839-1912) and Mary Elizabeth Thornton (1847-1920). They had four children between 1897 and 1903: Lois Beatrice Agee (1897-1983), Althea Lucretia Agee (1899-1986), Clarence Norwood Agee (1902-1974), and Leonard Carl Agee (1903-1984).
Following the death of her husband in 1904, Tirzah married Francis M. Horton (1856-bef. 1920) in 1909 in Douglas Co., Oregon. By 1920, however, Francis had died. On the 24 September 1922, Trizah married John Thornton Martin (1865-1931), the son of Levi Martin (1833-1908) and Alice Stultz (1841-1893), in Sellwood, Multnomah Co., Oregon.
Following the death of John Martin in 1931, Tirzah remained in Multnomah Co., Oregon for the rest of her life. She passed away on the 28 April 1967 in Portland, at the age of 94. She was buried in Lincoln Memorial Park.
