Loren S. Pollock, 82 of 400 Oglesby Ave. died at 12: 10 p.m. Friday, April 1, 1983, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He was a retired Lincoln Sand and Gravel Co. employee and a member of Holy Family Church. Surviving are his wife, Vernese, two stepdaughters, Colletta Swingle and Lucille Lumpp, both of Lincoln; two brothers, Harry of Havana and Clarence of Lincoln; a sister, Alberta Barry of Peoria; seven step-grand-children. A brother, three sisters, a stepdaughter and a step-grandson are deceased.
He was born March 10, 1901 in Lincoln, the son of William and Melinda Leach Pollock, He married Vernese Tutter Sept. 23, 1953.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kerrigan Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7: 45 p.m.
